Gosaikunda Lake

The Gosaikunda Lake Trek is a deeply spiritual and naturally stunning journey located just north of Kathmandu in the Langtang National Park. The trail ascends steeply through dense rhododendron and pine forests, past traditional Tamang villages, to reach the rugged alpine environment of the Gosaikunda basin. The main attraction is the holy Gosaikunda Lake (4,380m), revered by Hindus as the creation of Lord Shiva. The area features a cluster of 108 glacial lakes set against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks. This short but demanding trek offers a perfect blend of high-altitude adventure, breathtaking mountain vistas, and rich religious significance.
