Mera Peak Expedition Overview
Mera Peak (6,476m) is Nepal’s highest trekking peak, located in the Solu Khumbu region of the Mahalangur Himalayas. This expedition combines stunning natural beauty with the thrill of climbing a Himalayan peak.
Ideal for first-time climbers, Mera Peak offers three summits: Mera South (6,065m), Mera Central (6,461m) and Mera North (6,476m). While technically straightforward (slopes rarely exceed 40 degrees), caution is needed for crevasses and fresh snow conditions.
The summit reveals five 8,000m+ giants: Everest (8,848m), Kangchenjunga (8,586m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,485m) and Cho Oyu (8,201m). The route passes through Makalu Barun National Park’s dense jungles before ascending into high alpine terrain.
